200hr Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training
For the love of yoga
Share your passion for the practice, and impact lives
Congratulations on taking the first step to living an inspired and passionate life as a yoga teacher. We would be honoured to guide you through your 200-hour teacher training at Vital Beat’s Midland studio.
HOW TO REACH YOUR POTENTIAL AS A YOGA TEACHER
Our challenge as teachers is to find balance in our classes - offering a practice that is both inclusive and accessible to all individuals as well as offering the challenges that lead to expansion and evolution.
Our role is not to command, but to guide students along a path that allows them to make discoveries about themselves. Through these discoveries they can begin to feel connected, not only to each other and the greater community, but to themselves. The desire for connection, both internal and external, is our greatest human need. As yoga teachers we have a very important role in facilitating this.
WHAT IS IT LIKE TO COMPLETE A YTT WITH US?
Our boutique training is limited to just a small group of practitioners - we want to meet and connect with every one of you, learn your names, your stories and give you the most transformative experience possible.
We are not interested in producing cookie-cutter teachers in large cohorts. Our focus is on small numbers and quality graduates who infuse knowledge, confidence, and their own unique personality throughout their classes.
Yoga Teacher Trainings are by far the best way to immerse yourself in all the various elements of yoga beyond what you would experience in a class and is truly a transformative experience.
Our unique training is a modern fusion of online content delivered through our training portal, and face-to-face contact with fellow trainees in weekend intensives at our Midland studio. We save the “dry” content for online lectures, live seminars, group interactive zoom calls, and chat forums. We reserve our face-to-face time for the most crucial skills you will need to give you the confidence to teach a class, the day you wake up after graduation!
our 2021 training commences this august

Meet your facilitators:
Eve Gindein
For Eve, yoga is a de-masking, a coming back to self. Once a dedicated student in a class format, she now has a disciplined self-practice across multiple movement and spirituality practices and she aims to inspire her students to feel empowered to do the same.
What you can expect from her teaching style are physical challenge, anatomically intelligent sequencing, warmth and friendliness and ALWAYS humour.
Originally completing her 200hr RYT with Power Living Australia under the guidance of Duncan Peak, Emee Dillon, Keenan Crisp, Adam Whiting and Shawn Taylor in 2015, Eve has since acquired a further 240 registered hours of training in Power Vinyasa, Advanced Vinyasa, Laughing Lotus, Yin, KX Pilates, Functional Yoga Anatomy and the Psychology of Yoga.
However, she has taken the most value and influence from the unregistered hours of training under incredible individuals with their unique styles, including but not limited to; Shaney Aalbers, Wendy Wesson, Les Leventhal, Adam Whiting, Keenan Crisp, Shawn Taylor, Nadine McNiel, Patrick Beach and Carling Harps.
Eve expertly melds her love of yogic philosophy & the psychology of yoga, with her deep passion for movement theory, anatomy, and intelligent sequencing in this YTT. She will be leading the A&P components, as well as safe alignment theory and modern movement styles for a long & happy yoga practice that honours the form you live in.
Amanda Howell
So she doesn't like to have her photo taken, but what's SO special about Amanda is un-photographable. If you've walked into a sacred space she's set for you before class, you'll already know what we're talking about. The way Amanda holds space for the vessel & vehicle of yoga can only be felt, and not explained in writing or communicated in images. It's this magic she brings to her teachings in our 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training kicking off in just a few weeks.
Amanda is a child of Vital Beat, leaping into her love of yoga first as a student, and then by completing her first Teacher Training within the walls of Vital Beat. She has now evolved into one of VBY’s most loved Senior teachers and embodies all the qualities we stand for.
A passionate lover of “the woo” of yoga & alternative modalities, Amanda has also dived deep into study within Alignment Vinyasa, Advanced Yin Yoga, Yoga for Embodiment & Healing, Yoga Psychology & Neuroscience, Yoga for Mental Health, and Trauma Informed Yoga. Amanda is also a qualified and experienced group fitness instructor with a powerful understanding not only of anatomy and movement but the influence of the energetics of TCM methodologies and chakra systems on our physical body.
Amanda’s classes are a delicious warm hug and she expertly weaves deep thought on our emotional and life experience into her offerings, so that not only is your body nourished, but your soul is too.
Amanda gifts our 2020/2021 Trainees with loving guidance in Yin Yoga, the art of sequencing & theming, trauma-informed practice, chakra theory, the gift of adjustment, and subtle body energetics.
Ritika Purang
Ritika’s love of yoga is palpable and her willingness to share and dialogue on philosophy is tender and light hearted and wide open to both teaching and learning. Ritika was born in India, moving to Kenya at age 4 and then in her late teens returned to India to study, but for the last 4.5 years has called Perth home. Ritika had her fair share of introductions with yoga as a child, watching her grandparents doing their pranayamas every morning, and her mother practicing yoga when she was younger but she didn’t dive into yoga herself until much older, in her early twenties. It started off as a fitness pursuit but wasn’t a regular habit and she didn’t understand much about it either.
5 years ago, Ritika was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. The one thing her therapist did suggest was regular yoga. And so she did. Ritika embarked on a journey to heal herself. Or so she thought. This healing wasn’t just the external bits and pieces, but rather the various practices within the yogic lifestyle leading her down a path of discovery of self, her purpose, and her existence and, as the granddaughter of a Sanskrit Scholar, it was one of the many ways she began to connect back to her history and culture. This isn’t to say that she now has it all figured out, but her faith in the practices, and guidance from her many spiritual teachers, takes her forward.
She is currently studying the yogic philosophy in great depth, teaches yoga, and is a yogic lifestyle coach and a writer. She also loves everything water, be it river, lake, ocean and loves her (gluten-free vegan) desserts (if the description above wasn’t enough of a hint).
Ritika delivers wonderful layers of Sanskrit wisdom, yogic philosophy, history, yogic lifestyle, and cultural education to our 2020 Yoga Teacher Training. She wraps this knowledge in humour, kindness, and the gift of taking these sometimes complex concepts and distilling them to their most profound essence.
Kaye Waterhouse
As the creator of Vital Beat studios, Kaye infuses a warmth and playfulness to her classes that feels like a cool drink of water on a hot day. Whether it’s guiding her students into a deep sleepy yin class, or layering them with creative flows design to cultivate heat/tapas in an environment buoyed by music and laughter, Kaye believes that yoga is a playground and an opportunity to experience pure joy – for no other reason than we deserve this gift.
Kaye’s road into yoga has been a long & winding mental health journey and she believes in the power of the practice to serve us not only on the mat, but out into our daily lives & communities too. She actively uses yoga to support her health as part of an active toolkit for wellbeing. Her training extends from dynamic vinyasa in her initial 200 hours in 2015, to further study & trainings in Lotus Flow (the vinyasa style of which she now most feels at home), Bhakti Yoga & mantra, Prenatal Yoga & Postpartum yoga, Yin yoga, Vedic Mythology, Sound Therapy, and Yoga for Social Equity.
She comes from a background in Architecture, and Nutritional Medicine, and is currently studying both Bowen Therapy, a bodywork modality for the fascia system of the body, as well as Reformer & Mat Pilates.
Kaye brings her love of Bhakti, Mantra, mythology, and chanting to the YTT, as well as her training & experience in Pre & Postnatal yoga, and her human biology background for physiology & body systems, as well as theming, music, and storytelling in classes.

Do you identify as a Person of Colour?
At Vital Beat we are very aware of the lack of diversity that can be found in Australian yoga studios, especially in Perth. We believe we have a responsibility to increase the diversity & accessibility of our yoga classes to Black & Indigenous People of Colour (BIPOC). We feel the best way to do that, is to start at the top, by actively seeking to train BIPOC teachers, so that they have a greater representation in Perth and Australian yoga studios.
If you identify as black, or Indigenous, or a Person of Colour, we encourage you to apply.
We can do better.
Our Diversity Scholarship contributes 65% of the Training investment. Click the button above to open the application document.
