ABOUT US

Welcome to Vital Beat, where movement meets music. Founded by Kaye Waterhouse in 2016, we proudly became the first yoga studio in the 6056, and have since evolved, expanding our offerings to include Reformer Pilates & Yoga Teacher Trainings. As a boutique studio, we are dedicated to making yoga and Pilates accessible, fun, and welcoming for everyone—whether you're a beginner or a seasoned practitioner.

At Vital Beat, we understand that everyone comes to their practice for different reasons—be it physical, mental, or spiritual. We celebrate all these motivations and believe that the heart of movement lies in joy. Research shows time and time again that the exercise that benefits us the most, is the one we take most pleasure in. Our teachers are approachable, friendly, and highly trained. We embrace a non-hierarchical, dogma-free environment, where our instructors are fellow students of the practice, just like you. We are committed to equality, social equity, and inclusivity, ensuring that everyone feels at home in our family-owned studio.

Vital Beat blends the rich traditions of vinyasa yoga and Pilates with a contemporary, playful approach tailored to modern lifestyles. We draw on the diverse passions and expertise of our teachers to offer heart-centred practices within a supportive community. Expect classes infused with vibrant music—from Hip Hop to Pop, Soul to RnB, and everything in between. Our music-driven sessions are designed to move you, uplift you, and ground you. We believe in holistic movement, self-awareness, and honouring the uniqueness of every Body. We are a queer-owned space with a significant number of queer and neurodivergent staff, are staunchly anti-diet culture, and believe that a business can be a force for good. Whether you're here for a good sweat or a moment of stillness, we welcome everyone who has a body to move.

Come and experience the Vital Beat difference - where authenticity, playfulness, and the power of music come together to create a practice that's as dynamic and unique as you are.
