FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT:

Strategies For Lifetime

Movement that supports you for life — not just today’s class.

Join Amanda Koh (E-RYT500 YACEP) for a morning of exploring how our bodies actually move — and how to make that movement last a lifetime.

An international yoga and Pilates teacher trainer with almost two decades of experience, Amanda blends science and soul in this 2.5-hour deep-dive into biomechanics, awareness, and sustainable strength. It’s practical, evidence-based, and surprisingly fun - think less anatomy lecture, more “ohhh, that makes sense”.

You’ll explore:

  • The role of the pelvis in spinal movement & neutral/imprint spine.

  • True core activation (and how to release it too).

  • The difference between ligament laxity vs muscle weakness.

  • How to stabilise your joints safely and avoid overstretching.

  • Building internal body awareness (aka how to feel what’s actually going on).

This is biomechanics - broken down, demystified, and made genuinely useful; for smart, sustainable movement.

Perfect for: Beginners who want to move with confidence, not confusion. Neurodivergent or hypermobile bodies navigating proprioception or coordination challenges. Peri/menopausal movers and ageing bodies learning to adapt to change. Movement teachers who want to better support these populations.
